Pink is the new black!!!

The color of the day seems to be pink.Pink has become the new black so what is the new pink.God alone knows.Anyways, I’m the kind of a person who would love to have even my blood blackened if given an option(but not the complexion though, after all fair skin  is a girl thing you see).By now you might have guessed if it’s going to be for the topic or against the topic.

Yes I’m stand first on the list of critics for the above statement or the emerging new trend.How can a color like pink take the place of black.Black is that one cool and sexy color which goes with everything and everywhere.From weddings to divorces and from birthday parties to funerals.Black can easily be the color code in schools to colleges to pubs to shopping.Be it formal/informal.

It may not be that hard to imagine a marriage/some other ceremony where all the women are shimmering in livid pinks and all the men wrapped in pink flannels and tuxedos.But what at the sight of a funeral? (English funerals have a code color black, as till date).How would it be if everyone came to mourn in gaudy and flowery pinks? I wonder how funny the corpse itself, would look wrapped in a pink and buried in a pink coffin…:P. So, the funeral could turn into one big comic.

There are a category of Indians who believe black is an inauspicious color(my mother tops this list).It represents the Satan/Shani(The God of E.V.I.L).So, each time we go out for shopping and the first thing my hand reaches and my eye catches are tints of black.My mother would be like you’ll get unlucky if you buy and wear that, and my simple reply like I don’t wear clothes to get lucky would piss her enough to let me buy what I want(after all what would the ring with my birth-stone do? it will work right..:P).At the end of the day she repents a lot for escorting me out.This makes me even more crazy about the things I buy because I fight for them and the fruits of toil are often sweet.

I just wish I have the best piece of every dress with a tinge of black in it (not happens always though).I would end up in a sigh each time I open my cup-board and pick a pink dress for me if I have to sink into the new fashion standards.I would even not mind if blue were the new black.But pink, that too not a baby-pink or something that real gaudy and horrible magenta kind of pinks, are freaking me out each time I chose to shop.I just hope the fashion doesn’t go as insane as they make the yellow the new black or should I say the yellow the new pink…I’m confused at this point.
